Huda Beauty - Faux Filter Foundation

As you all know, Huda Beauty recently launched her Faux Filter Foundation. We tried the foundation and here are our thoughts:

About the product:
Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation is a full coverage foundation available in 30 shades.

Product claims:

Flawless long-lasting look, hiding blemishes, concealing imperfections, covering up dark circles and does not look dry and cakey.

Main Ingredients:

Argan Oil and Centella Asiatica.

My Experience:

The Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation came with a sample primer inside the box. I applied the primer before applying the foundaton. The first thing that I noticed about the primer is its scent. It has a perfume like scent which can be pleasing to some and  unpleasing to others.
On application, i could feel that the primer is quite heavy and sticky, may be its made this way to stick the foundation well. The good thing is that the skin feels very hydrated and moisturized after application.

\

I got the foundation in the shade "Custard". Just like the primer, foundation also has a perfume scent to it. It has a thick consistency. My skin is dry so it was not easy to apply the foundation as it dried up quickly. I took one drop of the foundation and applied it on my skin, so little foundation goes a long way. I liked the fact that the foundation is full coverage, it covered up any spots or blemishes that I had on my skin. It has a matte finish but gives a dewy, shiny look to your skin.

In my opinion the foundation is not very long-lasting. it oxidized and made the areas around my mouth look grey. The foundation also dried up on my skin and  made it look patchy after few hours. Personally i dont think that the foundation is crazy amazing, because I have tried better foundations. I think its a camera ready foundation and looks good in pictures. Foundation would work well if you wear it for a short time. So not all the claims that it makes are true.

Final Words:
What works well for one skin, might not work the same way for other. So if this has not worked well for me, it might work amazing for you.

Wearing Huda Beauty Faux Filter foundation.

After a few hours. You can see how it looks on my skin. specially around my mouth

Pros:
1. Full Coverage
2. Matte yet Dewy Finish
3. Perfume Scent (can be unpleasing to some)
4. Little goes a long way

Cons:
1.  Not for all skin types, better for oily skin
2. Oxidisez
3. Not long lasting.Dry and patchy looking skin

Love,
Farwa!

Soap and Glory - Radiance Boosting Mask

Soap and Glory is a renowned brand, with a tremendous variety of beauty, body and bath products. I recently went to Boots looking for some good skincare products. My eyes stumbled upon these beautifully packed mask sheets from Soap and Glory.
As I am travelling in a few days, I want to look bright and beautiful. I picked up Radiance Boosting Mask from the range , according to my skin’s need.

About the product:
It is a radiance boosting mask for tired, dull and stressed out skin. Claims to be used after a hectic day.
Main ingredients:
Vitamin C, White flower brightening complex, pink grapefruit and mint oils.
My Experience with the product:
The product has a very pleasing orange-ish scent to it. As soon as I opened the packaging I could smell the aroma of oranges and citruses. It had one mask sheet (which is mentioned outside the package). The mask sheet was a little difficult to handle so I had to open it with care. The mask was very juicy and I was scared to tear it off.
As I applied it on my face, it felt very cool on my skin. I wanted to place it all over my body. It felt so relaxing and refreshing. I had it on my face for about 20 minutes. I took off the mask, and swiped off any access juice.
This product lives to its claim. I had a very rough day and it suddenly freshened me up. My skin felt like it was given a new life. It felt super soft and fresh and I could also see the glow on my face the next day I wokeup. I am definitely going to buy this mask again.

A big thanks to Soap and Glory for this product.
